RunJunkEes® Sponsored Athletes
RunJunkEes® sponsored athletes are a diverse group of runners from all over the Country and feature runners of all ability levels. Our mission in sponsoring these athletes is to inspire, educate and motivate others. While all of the athletes vary in their accomplishments, they all share a common mindset- Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.
"[Some have asked] who we are, why we were chosen and how we are "better than" anyone else in the group. There is not one person in the Sponsored Athletes that feels they are above anyone in the group. We were each chosen because someone found us to be inspiring, just like we see everyday with each new post in RunJunkEes. We each have something going on in our journey that someone in the club is or has gone through at some point. Not all of us has battled weight issues, some have. Not all of us run at the front of the pack, some of us do. Not all of us have lost close personal family members, some did. Each person has a story and not one single person feels like our story is more important than anyone else's. We were chosen as ambassadors of RunJunkEes. We were chosen to help others find the magic in the misery and to share our journeys in return, we want you all to know that we are inspired by each of you as well and hope that you can find someone you can relate to, talk to and reach out as an equal to help promote this amazing family we have become here."

Amanda Ricciardi
I'm 24 years old, from Wallingford, Connecticut and Running is my absolute passion! I'm an Elite OCR athlete, Elite Spartan Racer, Trail runner, Marathoner, and Ultramarathoner. "No distance is to far if you love what you're doing" |
Megan Caton
I live just outside Richmond, VA. Running has changed my life from being a spectator on the sidelines watching it go on around me, to being in the race (albeit in the back of the pack). I firmly believe if you are moving forward, whether you run, walk or crawl, you are heading in the right direction. |
Matthew Rutledge
I am Matthew Rutledge. I am a 38 year old middle of the pack runner. By and large I run because it is fun. It doesn't matter if I'm running a 1k kids fun run or a full 26.2 mile marathon, I try to find the joy in every step along the way. Where possible I like to share my experiences running in an effort to help others find a bit of joy in their own running journey. |
Rhonda Foulds
I am an active mother and grandmother. I started running again 5 years ago after a diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease and a massive stroke. I enjoy helping people to find their true potential no matter what obstacles might be in their way. Dave Amstutz
I live in Huber Heights, Ohio and am a father of 2 boys. I started running in 2012 when I decided that being fat and in pain all the time was a destructive path. Since then I have run multiple Half's, Full's, Ultramarathons, started BikeJunkEes and am currently training to Boston Qualify at my next marathon. Never say you can't do something. Decide what you want and figure out a way of achieving it. |
Addie Green
My name is Addie and I'm a 35 yr old single mom of two girls. Running has given opportunities I would have not ever experienced otherwise. The greatest thing its given me above all is... ME. It has saved my life in many ways...from a local 5k, to running across Florida, to the Boston Marathon, it has allowed me to view life in a whole other perspective. Jay Rodriguez
I'm an average runner from NYC who is honored and humbled to have been chosen as a sponsored athlete. I am not a running expert by any means, but I look forward to becoming better through hard work. If I can help anyone with that same goal I will be glad to help just as you have helped me. Now go get some!!! Ila Allen
I am from Evanston, IL. and started running at 54. I needed a lifestyle change and it turned into a passion. I consider myself as a B-O-P (back-of the-pack) runner but I get my miles in and cross the finish line. I Run for bling for that’s what keeps it fun for me, I Run for peace of mind, I Run to LIVE! Running has opened up a whole new mindset for me and has allowed me to meet some wonderful people. Change your mind, you change your life! |
